Hey everyone, I found a cricket in my garage that was cold and barely moving. I’ve put it in a small clear raspberry box with some holes for ventilation. Inside, I placed a wet paper towel as the substrate, and I also added some thin slices of carrot and apple for food. What else should I do to make sure it’s comfortable? I’m aware that I’ll need to expand the enclosure soon. Any advice would be really helpful!
Place it in a warm area, but not too hot. You don’t want it to overheat, just warm enough. Also, avoid adding water unless someone else advises it. Crickets are really prone to drowning, even if you put water in a bottle cap—somehow they still manage to drown. Stick with just the paper towel for now.
