Why roaches? Most people find them disgusting, including me, so I’m curious why you have them?

Not all roaches are bad. There are pest roaches and then there are tropical roaches. The tropical ones are kept as pets or used as food for animals like lizards, birds, and some mammals.

How is it to care for a snake? I’ve been thinking of getting one.

Ball python mom here! They’re great pets, super calm and easy to care for. They live up to 40 years and only need feeding once a week. If you get one, I recommend rescuing instead of buying from breeders because there are many snakes that need homes and don’t get adopted. Also, they are super low maintenance!
@Nyx
I can’t really rescue since snakes are rare in my country, mostly found in deserts. Do you fear stepping on your snake? Or do you have them in terrariums? What do they eat? Sorry for all the questions!
@Kavi
Snakes live in a terrarium, never just on the floor because they can get lost. They eat frozen mice, which is safer because they won’t bite the snake. And the snakes kept as pets are usually bred for that purpose, not wild caught.
Birds:
Three species of pheasant, two species of quail, rhea, guineas, peacocks, turkeys, and chickens.
Mammals:
Patagonian mara, dwarf goats, rabbits, cats, and dogs.
Other:
Sulcata tortoise, eastern hercules beetles.
I have about a hundred animals right now but I could easily double that when the birds start breeding.
