I know it’s illegal to export animals from Australia, but then again, so is cocaine and it’s still around. Anyone here willing to smuggle a wombat to the US for sale?
EDIT: I found someone who can help with that.

Are you serious, or just trolling?

I’m guessing both.
Assuming you’re not just trolling, Australian wombats are illegal to export and illegal to own in the US because of how unique they are. Given how far Australia is from the US, no animal would survive that journey without proper care, so smuggling them is not only cruel but pointless. Plus, the food they need is only found in Australia or places that are accredited for keeping them, so you wouldn’t be able to provide them with proper care. On top of all that, smuggling and keeping exotic animals illegally harms everyone who actually takes care of them properly and follows the law. When things go wrong, it makes lawmakers want to ban exotic pets entirely.

You definitely got a lot of words in there.

I love this reply.
Wombats aren’t good pets. They’re wild animals and smuggling live animals is not only cruel, but it’s also illegal.
Your reply was pretty solid. I’ve got woodchucks, and I’ve seen people wanting pets that really shouldn’t be kept. Especially with Australian animals, it’s always a bad idea in the US.
I’m not sure if you’re joking or serious. Either way, you’re really good at it.
I don’t think you’ll get one. Even if you do, they require a lot of care.
