What animals would be a good fit for a 120x60x60 terrarium (150 gallons)?

So here’s the situation… I’ve got a 120x60x60 terrarium sitting around that I bought a few years ago. I originally got it thinking about getting a ball python, but things changed, and now the tank’s just sitting there unused. The thing is, I couldn’t get any animals before because my sister has a phobia of dead mice and insects, but she’s moving out soon! That means I can finally get some animals that fit the tank and that I can care for.

I plan on making the tank semi-bioactive with plants and isopods, and I’ll let it settle before adding any animals. It’s a glass tank, and I’ve got a heating pad for one side, so I’ll have a warm and cold hide. I also have a humidity reader. I’ve always been interested in snakes, and I’ve had a little experience with a ball python, but I’m more open now to other animals.

I looked into blue tongue skinks before because I love their diet variety and they look so cute, like little zucchinis with legs. My only request is that I don’t want to deal with crickets or roaches because they freak me out, but I’m totally fine with slugs or worms. What kind of animals could I study and eventually care for in this tank? I’m still a beginner, so I want to pick something I can handle and give the best care. Thanks, and sorry for any mistakes in my English; it’s not my first language!

A blue tongued skink, bearded dragon, or any small lizard like a corn snake or rainbow boa would do great in that size tank. Snakes under 6 feet like a ball python, king snake, milk snake, hognose, gopher snake, and even an African house snake would be fine. You could also consider a rosy boa or an anthill pygmy python. Frogs are another option, but my brother’s friend had some and said they were pretty tough to care for.

I used to have a blue-tailed/five-lined skink, and they were a lot of fun. As for diet, it doesn’t necessarily have to be crickets or roaches. You could probably use any protein-rich bugs or even worms. There are plenty of options out there!
