Does anyone know a good place to buy a prairie dog that isn’t too expensive and has reasonable shipping? Or is there somewhere in Florida I could check? Let me know if you’ve got any ideas!
There’s a place called Jana Exotics (I might have the name spelled wrong). There’s also an exotic pet store in Texas, and I think there might be one in Florida too. You could try searching online for that. Also, on Facebook, there’s a group called Prairie Dog Parents. They have a ton of info on how to care for them and can probably point you in the right direction. It’s the best place to get advice on prairie dogs.

Oh, got it. Definitely check out that Prairie Dog Parents group on Facebook then. It’s run by really dedicated people who know a lot about prairie dogs.

Have you tried Panhandle Exotics in Pensacola? I used to get my prairie dogs from them when I lived in the area. Not sure what their prices are like now though.

I checked it out, and it looks like shipping costs are around $900. That’s a bit more than I was expecting.
